The BASILICATA CULTURAL SOCIETY OF CANADA, in conjunction with the Montessori School of Kleinburg and the Istituto Italiano di Cultura, offers two scholarships of $2,000 each to Canadian students of Basilicata origin attending a post-secondary institution (College or University). These scholarships are intended to help the recipients offset the cost of studies, or to visit Basilicata - the region of their family origin. One scholarship will be awarded to a student residing in Ontario. The other scholarship recipient can be from anywhere else in Canada.  To be eligible, participants must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident enrolled in a university or college. The applicant or at least one parent, grandparent or great-grandparent must be of Basilicata origin. Past scholarship recipients do not qualify.
