AIA and the University of the Aftermarket Foundation (UofAF) Scholarship Program
For more than twenty years, the Global Automotive Aftermarket Symposium (GAAS) Scholarship Program provided funds to students in the aftermarket.
In late 2016, GAAS was dissolved as was its scholarship program. However, we are happy to announce that a similar program has been created by AIA Canada and the University of the Aftermarket Foundation to take its place. Please note that the scholarship amount, application process and the criteria for the scholarship have not changed.Information on the scholarship program can be found on the AIA website.
AWARDS
Scholarship Award winners will receive a $1,000 (Canadian) scholarship. While all students are encouraged to apply, priority in awarding scholarships will be given to those pursuing a career in the automotive aftermarket. As a bonus, a matching grant is awarded to scholarship recipients who become technicians in the automotive aftermarket, which can be claimed up to one year after graduation.
ELIGIBILITY
This scholarship is available to any student enrolled in a Canadian College or university, a preference is given to students enrolled in an automotive program. Students must be enrolled full-time for the year of the scholarship (from September of the current year to May or June of the following year).
