Awards Details:

The AlgaeCal Health Scholarship originated from a desire to financially assist students in pursuit of higher education as they face the challenge of the rising cost of obtaining a college degree. It also stemmed from the need for greater focus on the critical issue of health and well-being. We hope to raise awareness for health-related issues in our society through this program.

If you’re interested in the schoalrship, answer this question in an essay of up to 750 words. Study references are welcome in any format and do not count towards the word limit!

Am I eligible to enter the AlgaeCal scholarship?

You must be:

• Enrolled at a post-secondary institute in the United States or Canada for the 2021-2022 semester (Master’s and PhD students are welcome to apply!)

• Carrying a minimum 3.00 GPA

Note: We only accept online applications during the application phase. Decisions will be made by the end of September 2021. The winning recipient will be notified by email.
