The Joseph Poitras Métis Bursary Fund has been established in recognition of Joseph’s strong advocacy for educational opportunities for Métis youth. This bursary is available for Métis who have demonstrated both financial need and a desire to improve their lives or employability through additional education or training programmes. It is not restricted to high school students and has no upper age limits.
