You must meet the following eligibility requirements in order to be considered for the Indigenous Student Bursary:

• You self-identify as being an Aboriginal student
• UOIT uses the term “Aboriginal” as stated in the Canadian Constitution Act 1982, section 35 (2), to refer to members of First Nations (status and non-status), Métis, and Inuit peoples of Canada. In doing so, UOIT recognizes that many students prefer to use terms and language specific to their cultural backgrounds and communities
• You meet citizenship and Ontario residency requirements as outlined on the OSAP Application for Full-Time Students.
• You must demonstrate financial need.

To apply to this award:

• Log into MyCampus
• Click on the UOIT Awards and Financial Aid tab
• Under Bursary Applications (helpful links section), click on Start my application
• Click on Apply for Student Aid or View my Applications  
• Click continue
• From the list select the appropriate award
