Awards Details:

The Hubert H. Harshman Award will be awarded to a full-time UOIT student according to the following criteria:

• The student must demonstrate financial need.
• The student must meet the Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP) residency requirements, such as be an Ontario resident and Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
• The student must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5.
• The student must demonstrate good citizenship, good social responsibility and leadership in society.
• Candidates who receive an Ontario Graduate Scholarship (OGS) are not eligible for this award.

• The student must be studying at a graduate level in the Faculty of Education enrolled in the field of Education and Digital Technologies within the MA, MEd of the Graduate Diploma who build on the institutional strengths of information and communication technologies.
  
  
• The student must submit the following:
• A cover letter explaining why they are applying for the award.
• A letter outlining how they demonstrate good citizenship, good social responsibility and leadership in society. The letter should outline specific activities the student is, or was involved in, the level and length of participation, and include names and contact information for each activity.
• Two letters of reference (faculty member and a community contact) with at least one of them highlighting the candidate’s citizenship qualities.
• The cover letter and letter of references must be emailed directly from the student, faculty member and community contact to uoitstudentawards@uoit.ca
• Please advise your recommender(s) that their letter must be received by the application deadline date or your application will be incomplete and will not be reviewed.
