This message is being shared on behalf of Keith Bent, director, Reporting and Student Information Systems. Inquiries can be directed to DC-UPASS@durhamcollege.ca.

The fall semester is right around the corner! Here’s what all Durham College (DC) students will need in their digital DC wallet.

Universal Transit Pass (U-PASS)

The U-PASS program provides students with unlimited travel each semester on Durham Region Transit (DRT) and is paid for through ancillary fees for the 2021-2022 academic year for all eligible, full-time students.

Starting this year, the U-Pass is offered in a digital format via the PRESTO E-Tickets mobile app. If you’re in a qualifying full-time program, you’ll receive access to a digital PRESTO E-Ticket Fall semester U-Pass on August 30, which will be valid from September 1, 2021 to December 31, 2021. An email will be sent to your DC Mail account, titled: PRESTO - E-Ticket(s) - Have been sent to you! (from sender: noreply@bytemark.co).

More information about the U-PASS and how to register can be found online.

OneCard Student ID

This year, DC has a new digital student ID card system called OneCard. All students are required to have a student ID, as it is needed to gain access to buildings. U-PASS users must also have a OneCard to identify themselves as a student when accessing DRT.

Residence students who have purchased a meal plan are still required to use their physical identification card to access their funds – however, they can still create a digital card to use as their on-campus identification. If you are a residence student who still requires a physical student identification card, please submit your request online.

To set up your OneCard, please follow the below instructions:

  • Download the TouchNet OneCard app from the App Store or Google Play.
  • If you accept the end user license agreement, tap I agree and continue.
  • Search for and select Durham College.
  • Select Students and login with your network credentials directly through the app.
  • You can upload your photo through the app or log in to OneWeb to submit your ID photo and view information about your account.

Later in the year, as OneCard functionality expands, students will also be able to use their digital ID card for meal plan services, library services, fitness facility access and more.
