ABOUT THE SCHOLARSHIP:
We at Adventographer believe that travel is a catalyst for change, for personal growth, for acceptance and tolerance. We have a passion for traveling and recording the unique and life changing moments that can happen during those adventures. That’s why we decided that this year’s topic for our scholarship contest should be a bit different.
The Adventographer staff are proud once again to offer a biannual $1500 scholarship to one lucky applicant in each of the fall and spring semesters. We are calling all college and university students to apply. Submissions will be of a photo the applicant has taken while traveling, locally or abroad. Followed by a 1000-word short format essay of why that memory or moment is special to them. There are no limits aside from your creativity. – Any photo you took while traveling can compete!
We will decide the winner based on the quality of the photo and the essay submitted. Read on to learn how to apply. If you don’t’ know what to submit, there’s plenty of time to make some new memories before you apply! Take your camera and go Explore.Create.Educate!
WHO CAN APPLY:
The Adventographer Travel Scholarship is open to students around the world. Any Student who is enrolled in full time studies at their institutions. The only restriction being that submissions must be in either French or English Language.
HOW TO APPLY:
We have created a simple online submission system via e-mail. No more waiting on the mail or missing deadlines. Gather the below documents and submit by e-mail to Scholarship@Adventographer.com by the submission deadline. In the subject line, include “Travel Scholarship Application”.
Ensure your application is submitted by September 1st or February 1st for fall and spring sessions respectively. Winners will be contacted on September 5th and February 5th. Please note that while we appreciate and review all the submissions received we will only contact those selected for interview or award.
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS:
- One (1) photo you’ve taken, Sized at least 1000px on the long side, in JPG/JPEG format, named following the format [FirstName][LastName].jpg
- One (1) 1000 word short format essay in DOC/PDF format, in french or english language only (if english or french are not your first language or you’re using a translator please make note of this in your submission), include your name, address & contact information, named following the format [FirstName][LastName].pdf
- Proof of registration at your school – a valid student ID will suffice.
USAGE AGREEMENT:
By applying to the Adventographer Travel Scholarship you agree to grant Adventographer.com and/or its designates a license to display your submission (image & essay) on this website. All copyrights remain with the respective authors and any image or writing posted will carry the author’s credit.
