Eligibility:

Available to a full-time student of aboriginal descent (Status, Non-Status, Inuit or Metis) enrolled in the second year of a Bachelor of Science in Nursing program at either a college or university in Ontario recognized by the Ontario College of Nursing.

Criteria:

• Successful completion of the first year of the program
• High academic standing (minimum G.P.A of 3.0)

Required:

• Charlotte Carter Memorial Scholarship online application
• Two letters of reference from Native Community leaders
• Transcript of secondary school grades
• Transcript of Nursing program grades to-date
• Two-page essay outlining the students qualifications for this scholarship

Value:

$1,000 per year of program

This is a continuation scholarship available to the recipient for each year of their program, providing the recipient maintains a full course load and good academic standing (minimum G.P.A of 3.0).
